About Us

Taliah Waajid has been natural most of her life and a natural hair stylist for many years.  Taliah remembers learning to manage her big coily hair as a child because her mother refused to allow her to get a relaxer/perm.  Taliah became a natural hair care Master Stylist and Master Cosmetologist.  Taliah created the first complete line of natural, chemical-free hair care products because there were no products available on the market to care for her client’s natural, chemical-free hair.  She knew of the challenge of managing natural hair because she had those same challenges.  Taliah wanted to provide quality products that would make it easier for her clients to manage their hair in between visits to her salon.  Her first product collection, Black Earth Products, was sold exclusively in her salon until the demand grew and Taliah sold the collection into beauty supply stores and then to retailers.  Taliah is also a Master Natural Hair Care Educator.  

Taliah started her Natural Haircare start-up business at the age of 14 and then continued to follow her passion for natural hair care.   She founded the World Natural Hair Show and has always been at the core of the natural hair movement.  Taliah has inspired many others to follow in her footsteps.  The Taliah Waajid Brand now offers 4 collections of healthy hair product lines that range from Natural Hair Care, Curly Hair Care, Protective Styling, and Children’s Hair Care.  Taliah launched her men’s line, Uncle Jimmy Products, which is named after her favorite uncle. The line consists of natural products for total grooming for all men. The Uncle Jimmy Brand includes products for hair, beard, and body care. Taliah Waajid is also the founder and presenter of the Taliah Waajid Natural Hair & Healthy Lifestyle Event which is now in its 22nd year. The event brings in over 30 thousand attendees over the two-day weekend. It is the first, the largest, and the best event that celebrates natural beauty and healthy living.

The show weekend also offers music, entertainment, over 300 vendors, over 35 consumer hair, business, DIY, fitness, and health workshops, and more. Taliah is dedicated, hard-working and passionate about being a positive inspiration to the next generation. Her business is mostly family-operated. Her family members and her staff both play a huge part in the success of her business. She knows that it takes a team. No one is successful on their own. In 2019 Taliah invested in a local female start-up business and has grown that business by over 200%. Taliah is passionate about family and community. She believes that given the right opportunity and tools, anyone that really wants to succeed will succeed. Taliah is a strong believer in open communication about mental health issues in our community. She is excited about working with Grady Hospital on their new Mental Health Pavilion. I’m thankful for every day that I awake and have the opportunity to make a positive difference in my life and in others.

Return and Exchange

Mail returns for purchases made online to:

If a package is returned to our warehouse as undeliverable, you will be issued a refund for the amount of the order less shipping charges, the original shipping costs (the $4.99 flat rate) will not be refunded. If you choose to have your package reshipped, there will be a rerouting fee plus the shipping fee that will be charged.

For your protection, and to ensure prompt delivery, we recommend that you send your return item/items via UPS or insured Parcel Post. Please note that return shipping fees are not refundable and are the responsibility of the customer. Your refund will be processed based on the original form of payment (minus return shipping and handling).

We are committed to our customer's satisfaction with our merchandise beyond the point of sale.  Merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase when accompanied by the following:

DAMAGE POLICY

Once shipped, Taliah Waajid Brand bears no responsibility for products damaged in transit. In the event of such damage, a claim must be initiated by you, the purchaser, and properly filed with the delivering carrier. We will be happy to assist in this process as needed. We can also offer a replacement of the damaged items, or an exchange for a product of equal or lesser value, upon return of the items in question.

Damage or loss incurred during shipment is the delivery company's responsibility. Claims must be properly filed with the delivering carrier. The addressee must initiate damage claims against the shipper. We will be happy to assist if needed.
